Replacing the CompactFlash unit subassembly

Remove chassis fans 5-6 to access the CompactFlash card reader
subassembly cables by following these steps:
1. Loosen the thumbscrews on the chassis fan 5-6 subassembly.
Note
The thumbscrews are torqued at the factory. Use a #2 Phillips
screwdriver to loosen the thumbscrews.
2. Pull the fan subassembly straight out of the chassis frame.
3. Set the fan subassembly aside.

Loosen the two thumbscrews on the CompactFlash card reader
subassembly.

Press on the latches on either side of the connector on the backplane
to release the connector, then pull out the cable. Reach into the space
previously occupied by chassis fans 5-6 and unplug the
CompactFlash card reader data cable from the chassis backplane.
Note
It might be necessary to partially pull the CompactFlash card reader
subassembly out of the chassis to access the cables.

Unplug the CompactFlash card reader power cable from the chassis
backplane.

Pull the CompactFlash card reader subassembly out of the drive bay.

Disconnect the data cable and power cable from the back of the
CompactFlash card reader subassembly and set them aside.
