2-28 Setting System Parameters
VIDEO DRIVERS
Video drivers let you take advantage of your computer's
integrated video hardware and extended graphics modes.
Your system ships with the following Windows video
drivers preinstalled on the hard disk:

Trident 640 by 480, 16 colors
■
Trident AGI 640 by 480, 256 colors
■
Trident AGI 640 by 480, 64K colors
■
Trident AGI 640 by 480, 16.8 million colors
■
Trident 800 by 600, 16 colors
■
Trident AGI 800 by 600, 256 colors
■
Trident AGI 800 by 600, 64K colors
■
Trident 1024 by 768, 16 colors
■
Trident AGI 1024 by 768, 256 color
■
Trident 1280 by 1024, 16 colors.
The default video mode is 800 by 600 pixels with
256 colors. You can change the default video resolution
in Windows Setup (see your Windows documentation).
The installation of 1 MB of video DRAM provides a total
of 2 MB of video DRAM and the following additional
Windows drivers:
■
Trident AGI 1024 by 768, 64K colors
■
Trident AGI 1280 by 1024, 256 colors
■
Trident 1600 by 1200, 16 colors.
Additional VGA drivers are available for a variety of
software applications through the NEC Bulletin Board
Service (see the following section, “NEC Bulletin Board
Service”).
