1-16 Using Your Computer
NOTE
Be sure to connect the speakers that
come with your system to the speaker out jack on
the sound board. The speakers use the built-in
power amplifier on the sound board.
See “Multimedia Setup” in Chapter 5 for information
about setting up your speakers.
■
Joystick/MIDI connector — lets you attach a joystick or
MIDI kit to use with your games. You can connect any
analog joystick with a 15-pin D-sub connector. This
connection also works well with any application that is
compatible with the standard PC joystick. To use two
joysticks, you need a Y-cable splitter.
NOTE
The installation of a game card in your
system will conflict with the joystick connector on
your sound board.
To avoid a conflict, either remove the game card or
disable the joystick connector on your sound board
by removing the JYEN jumper on the sound board
(see Appendix D).
See “Multimedia Setup” in Chapter 5 for detailed instruc-
tions describing the connection of components to the sound
board. See the Ensemble User’s Guide documentation that
comes with your system to use the audio features of your
multimedia system.
