Unable to access to the device connected to USB.

Is the setting of BIOS correct?
→
The USB device can be set to disabled on the BIOS setup utility of the server.
Check the setting on the BIOS setup utility. The internal DVD drive is connected to the USB.

Unable to access CD-R disk.
■
Is the CD-R disk set on the wrong side?
→
Eject the CD-R disk from the tray and set the disk again with the top label facing upward.
■
Is the CD-R disk dirty or scratched?
→
Check if there is no finger print, taint or scratch on the disk surface of the CD-R. If there is taint,
clean the disk surface of the CD-R disk .If the disk still cannot be loaded after the cleaning,
replace another loadable CD-R disk to check if it can be loaded.
■
Is the CD-R disk closed?
→
Check the disk if the disk can be loaded after closing the current session or closing the disk.
■
Is the CD-R written with a writing software and CD-R disk that are appropriate for the writing drive?
→
If the combination of writing drive, writing software and CD-R Disk is not appropriate, the DVD
drive of the server may fail to read.
Unable to access hard disk drive.
■
Is the hard disk drive compatible to the server?
→
Only the NEC-authorized hard disks are guaranteed for operation.
■
Is the hard disk drive installed properly?
→
Ensure to push the hard disk drive carrier all the way into the server, and lock the carrier with its
lever. The hard disk is connected to the internal connector only when it is completely installed.
Unable to recognize the server from the management PC.
■
Is LAN cable connected properly?
→
Check the status of the cable connected to the LAN port for management. Sensors on the server
can be referred properly only when the cable is connected properly.
Check also the cable is not connected to the LAN connector of the server by mistake.
■
Is IP address duplicated?
→
If the same IP address exists on the same network, it is not recognized correctly. Change the IP
address.
