Basic Operation
This chapter describes basic operation of this sever.
Power-On and Booting Server
The server diagnoses itself by executing Power On Self-Test (POST) while
“NEC”
logo is
displayed. Refer to
“Checking by POST”
described below for details.

In general, the steps are performed automatically to the step (5) after step (2)
is performed. Refer to
”BIOS Setup”
in this Guide to stop the flow in step (4).

Turn on the power of peripherals connected to the server.
NOTE:
Confirm that the power of PDU (outlet box) is turned on when the
power code is connected to a power source controller such as the
uninterruptible power supply (UPS).
NOTE:
POST is discontinued and an error message is displayed when an
error is found during POST. xxx
Turn the power on and start booting the server.
