4.7 USING THE INK ABSORBENTS

These absorbents are developed to absorb the ink spoiled at the edges of the fabrics. This tool is meant for
especially edge-to-edge printing. But it is also recommended to install the absorbents for normal printing
(with margin), this only when you do not (need to) use the fabric retainers.

4.7.1 Installation

Edge-to-edge printing

Regular printing

When printing edge-to-edge, you will print
wider than the media width. Maximum 5 cm at
both sides. Position the absorbent until you
have an extra 1 cm. So in this case 6 cm.

When leaving a margin while printing and you
do not (need to) use the fabric retainers, it is
recommended to install the absorbents under
the left and right edge of the fabric. Make sure
that there is 2 cm of the absorbent visible.

4.7.2

Maintenance

Rinse the absorbent with water when it is saturated.
