3.3 TRANSFER AND TRANSPORTATION
Important
•
Do not transport, lift or push the printer with a forklift or other lifting tools. This to avoid
distortion of the machine.
•
Do not push against the tensioning bars; these are very fragile.
Notes
•
Make sure the box is as close as possible to the installation location to avoid unnecessary
transportation of the unpacked printer.
3.3.1 Transferring the printer
Caution
•
Keep the printer horizontally during transfer.
•
Do not tilt the printer, stand it against a wall, or turn it upside down. Doing so may cause ink to
leak inside the printer. Also, movement after transport is not covered by the warranty.
•
Have two or more people to transport the printer.
3.3.1.1 Before the transfer
If you are using the stand, follow the steps below to transfer the printer.
Step 1 :
Make sure the printer is turned off.
Step 2 :
Make sure the UW/W 100 system (installed onto the stand) is turned off.
Step 3 :
Make sure the head is in the right edge position (capping position).
Step 4 :
Disconnect the power cable and all other cables.
Step 5 :
Release the locks on the casters.
Step 6 :
The four adjusters are turned so they are well fixed.
Step 7 :
In the middle of both rail assemblies, rotate the adjuster as far from the ground as possible.
1 = Hexagon key
2 = Weight adjuster
Step 8 :
Transfer the printer.

•
The caster attached to the stand has been designed for transferring the printer during short distances.
