4.6 INSTALLING FABRIC RETAINERS OR INK COLLECTORS

Caution

•

Always use the fabric retainers when the fabric has rough finished borders.

•

When choosing edgeprinting, the fabric retainers can’t be used. Refer to : Ink collectors and
edge printing menu.

•

Verify if the fabric retainers are firmly fixed inside the gutter to prevent contact with the print
head.

•

Make sure the fabric’s border is fully positioned under the top plate of the fabric retainer.

•

Make sure the fabric does not sag or catch the fabric retainer.

•

Place the fabric retainers BEFORE fabric initialisation.

4.6.1 When using fabric without self-edge

Fabric without self-edge :

The fabric has fringes on the edges. See image below.

1 = Fringes
2 = Print direction

Print tool needed :

Fabric retainers

Purpose :

Too keep the edges of fabric without self-edges down to the printplatform in order to prevent contact with the
heads.
