4.6.2 When using fabric with self-edge
Fabric with self-edges :
The fabric has no fringes on the edges. See image below.
1 = Self-edges
2 = Print direction
Print tool needed :
Decide according to the decision table below which print tool you will have to install.

the edge printing feature is NOT used
use FABRIC RETAINERS. Instal them
before fabric initalisation.
the edge printing feature is used

use INK COLLECTORS. Instal them
after fabric initialization.

Do NOT use fabric retainers
Purpose :
Fabric retainers :
To keep the edges of the fabric down to the printplatform in order to prevent contact with the heads.
Ink
collectors :
To capture the ink, jetted next to the fabric when printing wider than the fabric with the ‘Edge printing’
feature.
