Taking note of the engine center of gravity
Refer to the
engine installation drawings for details of the center of gravity of the engine.
Lifting the engine
Follow the instructions below when lifting the engine:
• Attach lifting equipment (chains, ...) to the upper fixtures only.
• Always use all four fixtures at once.
• The elongated opening must be used as fastening point for the lifting equipment.
• It is to be observed that the lifting equipment bears the loads required and that it is designed adequately
for the loads to be lifted.
• A crossbeam may be used.
• Ensure that the lifting equipment does not damage components.
• Set the engine down on the four mounting points in the frame or transport block only. Do not set down on
the floor.
