Engine does not turn when starter is actuated

Battery low or defective

Starter (electric): Engine cabling
or starter faulty

Check that cable connections are properly secured.

Starter (compressed air): Cabling
on starting valve or starter

Check that cable connections are properly secured.
Contact Service.
Engine wiring faulty

Engine / generator control:
Assemblies or plug-in connections
loose

Carry out visual inspection (→ manufacturer's documentation).
Engine governor: Plug-in
connections loose

Check plug-in connections (→ Page 323).
Running gear blocked (engine can
not be barred manually)
