
Installing NOx sensors – new
sensors
Note:
Do not wipe off thread grease of manufactur-
er. Do not apply any more lubricant.
1.
Only remove protective cap from thread im-
mediately before assembly.
2.
Screw in sensors by hand.
3.
Use a torque wrench to tighten hexagon (2) to specified tightening torque.

4.
Install evaluation units.
5.
Connect connector (1) to all evaluation units and latch it.
Installing NOx sensor – reused
sensors
Note:
• The sensor must only be installed and re-
moved twice.
• After being exposed to any impact, the
sensor is considered to be faulty and may
not be used.
• Do not wipe off thread grease of manufac-
turer. If necessary, apply a thin coat of
Molykote P 37 exclusively to the thread
and ensure that the sensor head is not
contaminated.

Apply a thin coat of specified assembly com-
pound to thread of sensors as necessary.
2.
Screw in sensors by hand.
3.
Use a torque wrench to tighten hexagon (2) to specified tightening torque.
