Electrical governor
1. On Test operation, move car to starting position.
2. Place car on Machine Room inspection.
3. On the Element touch screen select Utils > Construct and Bypass Faults. Select Con-
struction/Fault Bypass Disabled; enable bypass, press OK. Press EXIT.
4. Select Utils > Safety Tests > Compliance Testing.
5. Select test and speed (rated speed of 10 FPM).
6. Prepare drive for overspeed test (see “Prepare drive for overspeed test” on page 1-64).
7. Return to the Element touch screen, press Next, and follow on-screen instructions.
On Completion:
• Use touch screen to exit Compliance testing.
• Use touch screen to disable Construction/Fault Bypass.
Inspection overspeed
1. On Test operation, move car to starting position.
2. Place car on Machine Room inspection.
3. On the Element touch screen select Utils > Safety Tests > Compliance Testing.
4. Select test and speed (Inspection Overspeed [Config02 > System Control] + 10 FPM).
5. Return to the Element touch screen, press Next, and follow on-screen instructions.
On Completion:
• Use touch screen to exit Compliance testing.
Contract overspeed
1. On Test operation, move car to starting position.
2. With car on TEST, place Machine Room inspection switch in INSP position.
3. On the Element touch screen select CONFIG 02 > System Control Parameters > CON-
TRACT OVERSPEED and record the value, ______.
4. Also in System Control Parameters, record the value for FOLLOWING ERROR, _____
and then increase the value by 30%. Press Enter and then Save.
5. On the touch screen select CONFIG 02 > S-CURVE > MANUAL ACCEL, record the
value, ______ and then increase it to 4.00. Press Enter and Save.
6. Prepare drive for overspeed test (see “Prepare drive for overspeed test” on page 1-64).
7. On the Element touch screen select UTILS > Safety Tests > Compliance Testing.
8. Select test, (CONFIG 02 > System Control > Contract Overspeed) and set the speed to
Contract Speed + 10 FPM.
9. Have a mechanic stand ready to measure the car speed with a hand held tachometer.
Due to latency the drive display of maximum speed is not accurate for this test.
10. Return to the Element touch screen, press Next, and follow on-screen instructions.
11. Upon completion, use touch screen to exit Compliance testing.
12. Return FOLLOWING ERROR and MANUAL ACCELL to their recorded values.
