Operating Instructions
11. - Operation
This section describes the operation of Monitor after it has been installed
and configured.
11.1. - To query the status of the Monitor system
11.1.1.
–
If
Secret, status
is sent to the unit it will reply with a message
Beginning “ALARM STATU
S -
” and
detailing the System Name (if not
named
it will reply “NOT SET”
), GSM signal strength, supply voltage (of all
battery banks), alarm state (armed/part-armed/disarmed/triggered), GPS
position and number of satellites. Monitor III with an external temperature
sensor will also display the temperature. If the unit is out of GPS coverage
or the GPS is turned off the unit will also return the time of the last fix.
11.1.2. -If you phone the unit from any of the registered phones then hang
up within 2 rings it will send you a status text message (
this may not be
available with some non-UK SIM cards
).
11.1.3. -To query the status of the unit, send this message:

11.2. - To query the Channel status of the Monitor system
11.2.1.
–
Up to 3 channels per message can be queried to determine their
status. The channel number or name (if set) can be used.
11.2.2. - To query the relevant channel(s) send the following message. In
the example shown the channels named “Bilge”, “Mains” & “Fridge” are
being queried- :
