Secret, fob, 2, delete
7.11. - Configure Automatic Status Reporting
7.11.1. - The system can be configured to send status reports to phones
set up with an event mask (see 7.7.2.) to receive them. The default setting
is a report will be sent after any power up and then at 12.00 hrs GMT at 14
day intervals, however the system can be configured to receive them at
different intervals (set in days) up to a maximum of 250 days. To disable
the automatic status reporting set it to 0 (zero) days.
7.11.2. - To set the reporting interval send the unit the following message
(the example shown sets the duration to 28 days): -
7.11.2.1 -
Secret, auto, 28
7.11.3. - To check the current setting of automatic status reporting send
the unit the following message: -
7.11.3.1. -
Secret, auto
7.12. - Configure Automatic Call
7.12.1. - For older SIM Cards
‘Automatic Status Reporting’ (see above)
will keep the SIM current, however more recently issued SIM cards may
need to make a
chargeable call
every few months (varies network to
network), check with the SIM card provider. To guard against SIMs
becoming deactivated by the service provider the system will make a
periodic call at 12.00 hrs GMT to a telephone number. The default settings
being a telephone call to the UK Speaking Clock every 30 days.
7.12.2. - Both the period between calls and Telephone number can be
changed. N.B. if a call is not answered (and therefore not chargeable by
the terms of the service provider) the system will not redial until the
period set has elapsed again this could result in a disconnection if the
duration is greater than that allowed by the service provider. If a voice
mail cuts in the system would then have made a chargeable call, the
system will only allow the call duration to last a maximum of 10 seconds.
