5.13. – Externally Powered Device (Protection Relays)
5.13.1
– Any externally powered device can be monitored, for example an
automatic Bilge Pump (to know when it switches on) or the Master Switch.
In order to achieve this and protect the Monitor system a Protection
Relay should be used

5.13.3. -
Protection Relays must be used on all externally powered
devices. Connect: -
Connect Switching Device
‘Switched’ 12v+ to Relay terminal ( 85 )
Connect Switching Device 12v-(or Battery 12v-) to Relay terminal ( 86 )
Connect Terminal (
87 ) on the Switching Relay to one of the Ground
terminals on the Monitor Circuit Board
Connect Relay terminal (
30 ) (Common) to a chosen channel (1 to 14 (J to
W) set to a Alarm NO or Alarm CH configuration (channels 9 to 12
Terminal ( R to U ) are set to Alarm CH as default)) on the Monitor Circuit
Board
