7.14. – Set up the Credit Check function of the SIM Card
7.14.1. - If you decide, to use a pay as you go SIM card then it is useful to
be able to know how much credit you have available. It is possible to do
this remotely by a command called a ‘USSD string’. We know that
Vodafone and O2 provide this service.
7.14.2. - The
credit command is used to set the USSD string. This command
is network specific if you are not using Vodafone or O2 check with the
service provider to see if it is possible and ascertain the ‘string’.
7.14.3. -
For O2 in the UK set it to *#10#
7.14.4. -
For Vodafone set it to *#1345#
7.14.5. - To set the USSD string, send the unit the following message (the
example shown is setting the string for a Vodafone SIM card): -
7.14.5.1. - Secret, credit, *#1345#
