Chapter 11 WebApp
11.1 General
The WebApp is not a native application that you have to install on your smartphone, it is instead an
optimised web interface of the myDataweb server for the displays of these devices. You therefore
only have to access the web interface of the myDataweb server via the browser of the smartphone.
However, this optimised interface is only displayed if a Level 1 or 2 user has logged in. Users with a
higher access level always access the standard web interface and the full functional scope even via
a smartphone.
11.2 Creating a "Direct login"
It is possible to create a favourites link on the smartphone that uses the "Direct login" function of
the myDataweb server. Such a direct link includes the "Direct login character string" that clearly
identifies the user on the myDataweb server and thus means that the login dialogue can be skipped
and direct access to the list of sites is granted. A "Direct login" link can only be created if the "Direct
login" function has been activated for the relevant user (see "myDatanet Server Manual" 805002)
and requires the login process to be completed once via the login dialogue. The "Direct login"
function is activated for all users as standard.
Important note: Do not give your "Direct login" link to anyone else otherwise they would be
granted access to your account on the myDataweb server.
The following two chapters describe how to create a "Direct login" for iOS (iPhone) and Android. For
other mobile operating systems, please refer to your smartphone's operating instructions.
For both systems, first of all enter the web address of the myDataweb server. You will receive the
address from your responsible sales partner. This will take you to the login dialogue.
