4.1.4.4.1 Authentication
The FCM9002 supports three modes of password access control and
authentication. The options are:
Local
(Default) The password access control is handled
locally by the FCM9002 unit and the unit local
password should be used to log in.
, Local
In this mode, the FCM9002 unit will attempt to contact
the server for authentication, however if the
server cannot be accessed, it will fall back to local
password administration.
Use for password authentication. If the
server is unavailable, access to the unit will not be
allowed.
4.1.4.4.2 Timeout
The timeout defines how long the FCM9002 unit will wait for a response from the
server. The timeout is specified in seconds in the range 1 to 90
seconds.
4.1.4.4.3 Retries
This defines the number of attempts the FCM9002 unit will make when trying to
access the server. The valid range is 1 to 10.
4.1.4.4.4 Server
This defines the IP address of the Authentication server. When a
login attempt is made, this server will be accessed.
4.1.4.4.5 Encryption Key
This key is used by both the FCM9002 and the server to provide a
secure, encrypted password exchange and authentication. This must be set the
same on both FCM9002 and Server. For security, the key is hidden.
