APPENDIX 2

Initial LAN connection to FCM9002

Following a cold start it is possible to access the FCM9002 using LAN port,
LAN1. Following a cold start, DHCP is enabled so if a DHCP server is available
an IP address will be configured automatically. If however, no DHCP server is
found, the unit has the default IP address 169.254.42.42.

No access to the unit will be available via the LAN2 or SFP ports following cold
start unless flows are configured
