H. SELECT PRINTER:

Several optional printers are available for the 893. The
correct printer must be selected on the closer for the sys-
tems to work together correctly. Use the following proce-
dures to select the printer. Use the same procedures to
select “No Printer”. The printer selection screen also con-
tains an “Air” button to manually temporarily turn on the
air to a printer to set the print pressure. See the printer
instruction manual for more information.
1. On the Main Control screen press the “Setup”
button.
2. Enter the password at the Password Required
screen and press the “OK” button.
3. Press the “Printer” button at the Setup screen.
4. Press the printer name to select it. Press “No
Printer” if there is no printer. Press the “OK” but-
ton when complete.
5. Press the “OK” button on the screens that follow
to exit back to the Main Control screen.
I. ENABLE FEED AFTER LOAD:

When the “feed after load” option is enabled, the 893
automatically cycles multiple times to place a printed lok
in the closing position at the bottom of the lok track. Use
the following procedures to enable or disable the feed
after load option.
1. On the Main Control screen press the “Setup”
button.
2. Enter the password at the Password Required
screen and press the “OK” button.
3, Press the “Printer” button at the Setup screen.
4, Press the check box next to “Feed after load” to
select it. Press the “OK” button when complete.
5. Press the “OK” button on the screens that follow
to exit back to the Main Control screen.
J. ENABLE OPTIONAL CLOSURE DETECTION:

An optional closure detection kit is available for the 893.
The detection system monitors the lok strip and activates
the alarm system if loks are not present, or the lok strip
does not move when the closer cycles. The closure
detection system is standard with the 883H Smartdate 5
thermal printer. Use the following procedures to enable
or disable the closure detection system.
1. On the Main Control screen press the “Setup”
button.
2. Enter the password at the Password Required
screen and press the “OK” button.
3. Press the “Detectors” button at the Setup screen.
4. Press the check box next to “Enable closure
detection” to select it. Press the “OK” when com-
plete.
5. Press the “OK” button on the screens that follow
to exit back to the Main Control screen.
