IMPORTANT: The 893A closer is available in Right - Hand or Left - Hand models. ALL ILLUSTRATIONS DEPICTED IN THIS
MANUAL ARE CONFIGURED TO A RIGHT - HAND MODEL 893A CLOSER. Parts lists include part numbers for
both Right and Left - Hand models when applicable. Part Numbers followed by an R are specific to a Right - Hand
closer. Part Numbers followed by an L are specific to a Left - Hand closer. Determine the hand of the closer to
insure that the correct parts are ordered.
In rare cases it is possible for a Right-Hand part to be used on a
Left - Hand closer or a Left - Hand part on a Right - Hand closer. If this is the case, the part description
column of the parts list will indicate that this part is specifically for a Right or Left - Hand closer. Use the
information and illustration offered below to establish if your closer is a Right or Left - Hand model.
1. MODEL- HAND box on the
machine's Nameplate.
For a Right Hand model the last
letter will be "R".
For a Left Hand model the last
letter will be "L".
2. To determine the correct flow direction, visualize your packages moving away from you, toward the Kwik Lok Closing
Machine.
(a) If the open end of the bag is on your right - hand side the flow direction is to the right. (Right - hand machine)
b) If the open end of the bag is on your left hand
side the flow direction is to the left. (Left -
hand machine)
3. To assist you in ordering the proper hand
items (either Right or Left - hand) note the
examples below. The last letter will
be "R" or "L" to designate Right or Left -
hand unless the kit or part can be used on
either hand machine.
(a) Z8093016 R Kit - Cartridge - Belt Drive -
For right - hand machine
(b) Z8093016 L Kit - Cartridge - Belt Drive - For
left - hand machine
(c) 08-006266 - BLOCK - BAG SWITCH - used on both right and left - hand machine
