C. OPTIONAL ALARM INDICATOR:

The 893 closer is available with an optional alarm indi-
cator. The indicator consists of a dome light that is visi-
ble from nearly any direction, and an integral buzzer.
The loudness of the buzzer is adjustable. The alarm
indicator mounts to the mast of the closer with a brack-
et. The cord plugs into the alarm port on the 893 clos-
er.
The 893 has two separate alarm channels. The alarms
are activated when there is an error condition on the
closer. Each alarm channel can be selected independ-
ently, or they can be used together. The alarm system
response can be individually tailored for each error con-
dition, as shown in the “SETUP” section of this manual.
Alarm channel A activates the light. Alarm channel B
activates the buzzer. Configure the alarm response for
each error by selecting the appropriate check box in the
alarm setup screen on the 893. Select the “B Pulse”
option to chirp the alarm. Rotate the buzzer shield on
the indicator to change the loudness of the buzzer.
