Setting up the PC
5.1 Setting up the PC
To set up the PC for the Rework System, sequentially perform all the activities de-
scribed here.
The PC system requirements can be found in Chapter PC system requirements
[
}
18].
– The PC user must have administrator rights.
– Devices must be assembled and connected as described in the previous
chapters.
– Do not connect the HR 600/2 unit and the PC yet.
– Do not use a network cable or wireless LAN yet.
Preparing the PC
a) Switch on the PC and wait for the operating system to start.
Disable the power saving mode:
a) Click on the Windows button on the bottom left of the screen. Now enter:
“Power options.” [Power options] will be shown in a list. Click on this.
ð The [Power options] dialog is displayed.
b) Click on [Change plan settings].
c) Now set: [Put the computer to sleep:] never.
d) Click on [Save settings].
Set in such a way that Windows also displays hidden files:
a) Click on the Windows button on the bottom left of the screen. Now enter:
“Hidden.” [Hidden files and folders] will be shown in a list. Click on this.

The [View] tabulator will appear.
b) Scroll to [Hidden files and folders].
c) Select [Show hidden files and folders].
d) Click on [OK].
Installing HRSoft
a) On the PC drive C: create a new folder at the highest directory level into which
you will later copy all Rework System data. Name the folder “Ersa data.“
b) Enter the data carrier [USB flash drive Rework] (item 3BA00149 ) into the CD
drive.
c) Display the CD contents and copy them all into the newly created folder "Ersa
data."
The [USB flash drive Rework] data includes programs, drivers, operating instruc-
tions, accessory descriptions and other technical information.
a) Open folder [C: \ Ersa Daten \ Software \ HRSoft \ HRSoft_Setup_vXXX] in the
copied data.
b) Start the [setup.exe] installation program by double-clicking.
ð The HR 600 control program HRSoft has been installed. Follow the instructions
on the screen.
Manually installing the uEye USB camera driver
a) Click on the Windows button on the bottom left of the screen.
b) Now enter: “Devices.” [Device manager] will be shown in a list. Click on this.
ð The [Device manager] will open.
