9.5 Maintenance work to be performed quarterly
9.5.1 Visual inspection and lubrication of the X and Y axles
If dirty, or at least every three months, lubricate the two guide rails of the X and Y
axles.
NOTE
For lubrication, a thin film of grease is enough!
If the drive components are excessively lubricated, they get dirty very quickly. Clean
dirty drive components before lubrication!
a) With the Rework System controller, move the X axle to the right and the Y axle
all the way forward.
b) Visual inspection of the X and Y axles Clean dirty axles with a lint-free cloth.
c) Apply a thin layer of suitable grease (such as Klüber GL261) to a lint-free cloth.
d) Lubricate the two guide rails of each axle with it.
