Models 7751, 7752, and 7753 switching modules

Connection and wiring procedures for the 7751, 7752, and 7753 are to be
performed by qualified service personnel. This information is provided in the
Model 2790 User’s Manual.
Switching module capabilities

Details on the individual components of the 7751, 7752, and 7753 modules are
provided in the Model 2790 User’s Manual.
Channels 1-12 — Input channels for DUT (four of which are 1 Form A switches).
Channels 13-19 — Provides signal connections to backplane of Model 2790.
Channel 20 — When closed, the cable discharge circuit is connected across the input
channels. Used to dissipate charge build-up due to capacitance in cables and signal paths.
Channel 21 — Closing this channel connects the selected source to the input channels.
Channel 22 — Selects the source. When open, the I-source is selected. When closed, the
V-source is selected.
Channel 23 — Closing this channel connects the I/V amplifier. The I/V amplifier is used
with the V-source to measure the insulation resistance of an airbag inflator.
Channel 24 — Closing this channel connects the dry circuit for the I-source. Used when
testing an inflator shunt. It limits voltage to 20mV.
Channel 25 — Use to perform I-source readback – When closed, the actual output of the
I-source can be read by the DMM of the Model 2790.
