3.1 Description of AUTOCON

®

II 400 operation 

The AUTOCON

®

II 400 HF surgical device is a universally applicable device which permits the precise

setting of various cutting and coagulation qualities as well as reliable reproducibility of these settings.

Due to automatic control of the HF voltage, the HF voltage and intensity required for achieving the
desired cutting quality are provided in each phase of the incision.

The AUTOCON

®

II 400 permits both monopolar and bipolar incisions and provides a suitable cutting and

coagulation mode for every application.

The bipolar coagulation mode additionally permits operation with the autostart and autostop functions.
In conjunction with automatic control of cutting and coagulation quality, the various safety devices of the
device provide an exceptionally high level of user and patient safety. Software-supported test programs
ensure easy and rapid servicing.
