8. Added Functions
In this product, the following functions are added or changed compared to prior product
versions.
8.1 Waveform Data Decimation and Save
With this product, waveform data or FFT results can be decimated and saved in CSV
format on a floppy disk or ATA card.
Decimating the Waveform Data and Saving to a Floppy Disk
In this example, every fourth waveform data point is saved.
Procedure
1
Display the SAVE/RECALL menu.
2
Through [FUNCTION operation], set Device to Floppy.
3
Through [FUNCTION operation], set Type to Waveform.
4
Through [FUNCTION operation], set Style to ASCII.
5
Through [FUNCTION operation], set Step to 4.
Step specifies the method of implementing the decimation of the
waveform data.
By specifying (first)

can be saved.
The Step value can be selected from 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64 or 128.
If Step is set to 1, all waveform data will be saved.
6
Through [FUNCTION operation], set Function to Save.
7
Through [FUNCTION operation], set File No. to an arbitrary value
(“1” for example) at each step. If Coarse is selected, settings can be
every 10 steps.
8
After selection of the File No., pressing the FUNCTION button will
cause the message “Press FUNCTION to save” to be displayed. In
this state, press the button again to save the file. If the specified file
already exists, the message, “Press Function knob to overwrite”
will be displayed. In this state, press the button again to save the
file.
When save is executed, a directory named ASCII is created below
the root, and the file specified by File No. is saved in this directory.
The file extension is CSV.
