Symptom
Possible sources of error
Remedy
The web browser requires a
cache clear.
• Clear the web browser's cache, then refresh the
web browser.
Data cannot be stored.
Data storage has been
exceeded.
• Export runs, then delete them. Refer to Export
195] and Delete Runs [
The method or sequence
will not load.
There is an incompatible
method or sequence.
• Ensure that temperatures and ramps do not
exceed instrument limitations.
• Verify that the method was created for use with
the desired instrument.
The web browser requires
restart or refresh.
• Restart or refresh the web browser.
The web browser requires a
cache clear.
• Clear the web browser's cache, then refresh the
web browser.
Method is 'preparing' and
not becoming ready.
The 100 pin connector is
loose.
• Remove the chassis cover and reseat the
module, ensuring that the 100 pin connector is
fully seated.
The orange cable is loose.
• Remove the chassis cover and verify that the
orange cable is fully seated.
The GC will not power on. The power supply has been
damaged.
• Replace the power supply. Refer to Connecting
There is a malfunctioning
circuit board.
• Contact INFICON. See Service and Technical
The 4-module chassis fuse is
damaged.
• Replace the fuse on the back of the 4-module
Micro GC Fusion.
The carrier gas depletes
prematurely.
There is an external leak.
• Check carrier gas lines using a leak detector
and tighten all fittings.
There is an internal leak.
• Remove the chassis cover and listen for a
hissing noise. If the noise is present, tighten the
carrier gas connector on the front of the module.
Do not over tighten. If hissing continues, contact
INFICON.
The sample pump does
not run or runs
intermittently.
The Sample Pump Time
method parameter is set to 0
seconds.
• Ensure that the Sample Pump Time is set for at
least 15 seconds.
There is a malfunction in the
sample pump.
• Listen for the noise from the pump when taking
a sample. If there is no noise, contact INFICON.

The front panel display will
not turn on.
The internal cable is
disconnected.
• Open the chassis and verify that the internal
cable is connected to the tablet.
