4.4 Cautions and Warnings When Using Micro GC
Fusion
Misuse of Micro GC Fusion can damage the instrument and may cause bodily harm.
The warnings and the cautions in this manual are provided to protect the user, as well
as optimize Micro GC Fusion performance. Before operating Micro GC Fusion, read
the following warnings and cautions.
The user must read and understand all warnings and cautions and develop specific
procedures to mitigate the unique combination of hazards presented by their
application.
CAUTION
Use Micro GC Fusion in an upright position.
CAUTION
Only technically qualified personnel should perform the procedures and
maintenance described in this manual.
WARNING
Micro GC Fusion has a heated inlet which is hot to the touch.
CAUTION
Micro GC Fusion air pathways must remain unobstructed to allow cooling of
the analytical column(s) following a temperature programmed method run.
Allow a minimum of 6.5 cm (2.5 in.) clearance to the top, the front, the back,
and both sides of the instrument to provide unrestricted air flow to the
instrument.
