The web browser requires a
cache clear.
• Clear the web browser's cache, then refresh
the web browser.
Micro GC Fusion requires a
restart.
• Restart Micro GC Fusion. Refer to Shutdown
251].
Calibration is poor.
Concentration amounts
are not as expected
There is contamination or low
volume in the calibration or
carrier gas.
• Ensure the carrier gas purity is between
99.995% and 99.9995%. Add hydrocarbon/
moisture/oxygen traps or particulate filters to
the carrier gas line to improve purity.
• Ensure there are no contaminants in the
calibration gas.
• Ensure that there is an adequate supply of
calibration gas.
Micro GC Fusion requires a
restart.
• Restart Micro GC Fusion. Refer to Shutdown
251].
There is an external leak.
• Check carrier gas and calibration gas lines
using a leak detector and ighten all fittings.
Integration events are not
optimized.
• Ensure all of the peaks of interest are
identified and fully integrated. Refer to
Integration Parameters [
201].
The Backflush Time method
parameter is set too early (if
applicable).
• Increase the Backflush Time until all peaks
of interest appear on the chromatogram.
Inverted peaks are
present or large, broad
humps are present in the
chromatogram
The carrier gas is incorrect/
mislabeled.
• Check the carrier gases and ensure that
each carrier gas is connected to the correct
inlet and configured properly in the user
interface.
• Check carrier gas lines using a leak detector
and tighten all fittings.
The carrier gas contains
impurities.
• Ensure the carrier gas purity is between
99.995% and 99.9995%.
• Add hydrocarbon/moisture/oxygen traps or
particulate filters to the carrier gas line to
improve purity.
• Replace the carrier gas cylinder.
There are carryover peaks from
a previous run.
• If broad and sporadic peaks appear, it could
indicate carryover from a late-eluting
compound. Extend the Hold Time or
