1 Preparing the Hardware Management
Console
NOTE.
This procedure must be completed on each
Hardware Management Console supplied with
this system.
To determine which Hardware Management
Console you are working with. Have the
Hardware Management Console operational.
Look at the title bar for the Hardware
Management Console workplace. It will be titled
HMC2, HMC3 or HMC4.
RECORD the HMCx title for future reference.
1. Perform a shutdown of the Hardware
Management Console you are about to
load with the pre-configuration.
2. Insert the HWMCA-RESTORE1 diskette
into the A: drive of the Hardware
Management Console .
3. Pressing and holding the CTRL key, ALT
key and the DEL key to restart the
Hardware Management Console .
NOTE.
It takes approximately one minute and
15 seconds before the
Hardware
Management Console UPGRADE
PROGRAM
panel is displayed.
4. When the HARD DISK UPGRADE or
RELOAD panel displays, press the ESC
key.
5. Remove the HWMCA-RESTORE1 diskette
from drive A: .
6. Insert the ORDER# diskette into drive A: .
7. ENTER COPY A: ORDER#.RAM E:
8. Remove the ORDER# diskette From drive
A: .
9. Insert the HWMCA-RESTORE1 diskette
into drive A: .
10. ENTER
LOADRAM E:ORDER#.RAM E: /C/M/S/NE
