3 Defining the load device
The Input/Output Configuration panel displays.
1. Under the title “Data Set Status,” select any
valid data set (not the active one) that you
want to change.
2. Select
Options
from the action bar.
3. Select
Open source file
from the
pull-down.
The Configuration "An" panel displays.
4. Select
Edit
from the action bar.
Note:
This file may contain source data
that was used during manufacturing
test. If so delete the data before
continuing.
5. Select
Define Load Tape Device
from the
pull-down.
6. Select the tape drive from the list, then
select
OK
.
Note:
The tape drive must be able to be
manually loaded or the tape must
be already mounted. IOCP does not
support tape library systems.
7. Specify the channel path identifier from the
list, then select
OK
.
8. Type in the unit address of the tape drive
(upper case alpha characters or numeric),
then select
OK
.
9. Select the CHPID type.
A message will display stating the input
tape unit macro instructions were created.
10. Select
File
from the action bar.
11. Select
Save
from the pull-down.
12. Select
File
from the action bar.
13. Select
Exit
from the pull-down.
