Running the Input/Output Configuration Program (IOCP)
1 Before you start
The Input/Output Configuration Program (IOCP)
can run in either ESA/390*, or LPAR mode. The
customer must provide you with an input file for
this program. The input file is in 80 column card
image format and can be provided on a channel
attached tape or on a Hardware Management
Console or a I/O and Support Processor diskette.
The system tape must be in Extended Binary
Coded Decimal Interchange Code (EBCDIC)
format. The diskette must be in American National
Standard Code for Information Interchange (ASCII)
format. The input file contains all the I/O
information necessary for the program to define the
channel paths, control units, and devices.

Note:
Before continuing with this procedure you
will need to LOG ON the Hardware
Management Console as the
SYSPROG
the password is
PASSWORD
.
