Note: Care should be taken when removing the CEC backplane. Standoffs

attached to the chassis base may damage the components attached to the
bottom of the CEC backplane.

24. Slide the CEC backplane toward the front of the system (about 7 mm). A strip of

sponge rubber attached to the back (bottom) of the CEC backplane will compress
against an aluminum plate that is secured to the system chassis, preventing the
CEC backplane from traveling any further forward. This action, allows the
connectors located on the back of the CEC backplane enough room to clear the
rear chassis bulkhead.

25. To remove the CEC from the chassis, lift the front edge of the CEC backplane and

pull it out and away from the system chassis.

26. Place the CEC backplane in a safe place.
