3.2 Messages and Actions
If a message (including an error code) is displayed on the LCD, take the corre-
sponding action. If the problem cannot be solved by taking the action, call your
IBM service representative.
Notes:
1. To turn off an alarm tone caused by an error, press Stop.
2. For messages displayed during initialization, which differ from the messages
below, see 2.12, “Initializing the Printer” on page 2-65.

Operator Action: If this message does not change within one minute of
turning on the printer, power off the printer and power it on again.

Operator Action: Wait a moment.

Operator Action: To set the printer in the ready status, press Start.

be printed.
Operator Action: To clear the display, press CLEAR PRINT again.

Meaning: The printer is set in the mode to print data from the host
system in hexadecimal notation. (See 2.13, “Host Trace Printing” on
page 2-77.)
Operator Action: To end the host trace, press Stop, then Cancel.
