Considerations in Creating a 5577 Data Stream
C.4.6 Specifying a Font Style
A control code for changing a font style allows you to change the font style of sing
byte characters. Note the following:
Select a font style suited to the character pitch. If the font style is not suited to
the character pitch, the left and right sides of the characters might be trimmed.
If the single byte pitch is 13.3 cpi or 15 cpi, select Song 12 cpi font style.
If vertical printing is specified, vertical characters are printed irrespective of font
style.
When condensed character, superscript and subscript, and font style settings
are made, the priority among them is as follows:
1. Condensed character setting
2. Superscript and Subscript setting
3. Vertical printing setting
4. Font style setting
If a font style is changed when a condensed lower character setting is
made, the new font style becomes effective after the condensed character
setting has been cancelled.
C.4.7 Combining Character Decorations
Character decorations (enlargement/reductions, emphasis, and double strike
printing can be combined as desired).
