Setting the Test Form

1.2.6 Setting the Test Form

This section explains how to set the form for all print span tests for the IBM
5400-006 printer. Make sure to use a 15" wide and 11" long continuous form.

Open the set cover.

Push the platen open lever backward to release the platen.

Notes:

a. If the form is set without the platen being released, the form edges are

damaged, possibly causing form jam or other problems.

b. While pressing the platen open lever to the right, press it backward as

the platen remains released. The platen is set into the all release status.
When setting the form, do not set the platen to the all release status.
This causes form edges to slip out.
