NOTE
Heavily stuck up trap rollers can affect the place
-
ment of the seeds in the furrow and thus cause
uneven distribution.
¾
The trap rollers may need to be placed in
parking position under wet drilling conditions
and sticky soils.
¾
Turn the trap roller around and insert it into
the bracket from above, secure the bolt with
a cotter pin.
¾
Reduce the working speed, if necessary, to
prevent the grains from jumping out of position
in the furrow.
Trap roller in Parking Position
Please note when parking the machine:
The trap rollers must not rest on the ground.
Disassemble the trap rollers, the machine can
then rest on the coulter discs.
Press rollers
With their V-shaped arrangement the press
rollers close the seed channel and press the soil
against the seed.
With the adjustment lever the consolidation ef-
fect of the press rollers can be matched to soil
conditions and drilling depth.
Adjusting the press rollers
WARNING
Danger of injury caused by rotating press rollers.
¾
Do not step on the rotating press rollers.
Adjusting the consolidation
¾
Slightly lift the machine.
¾
Pull the adjustment lever back out of the lock-
ing gate and engage it in the new position.
NOTE
Adjusting the lever toward the rear increases
the consolidation in four levels from 8 to 55 kg.
¾
Set the spring pre-tension equally on all drill
units.
Check the coulter pressure and the seed place-
ment with every change to the press rollers.
Any change of setting can affect the seed place
-
ment.
