¾
Clean the downpipes with the brush.
¾
For pneumatic brakes: Drain water from the
air reservoir and close the hose couplings, if
the machine is not used for a longer period
of time.
NOTE
Clean every day when in use.
Maintenance intervals
The maintenance intervals are determined by
many different factors.
For example, the different operating conditions,
weather impact, travel and working speeds, dust
accumulation and type of soil, seed, fertiliser
and dressing used, etc. affect the maintenance
intervals. The quality of the lubricants and clean
-
ing agents also affects the time to the next care
activities.
The specified maintenance intervals therefore
only serve as a reference.
In case of deviations from normal operating
conditions the intervals must be adapted ac-
cordingly.
Regular maintenance is the basis for a fully
operable machine. Properly serviced machines
reduce the risk of failing and ensure economical
use and operation of the machines.
Storage
If the machine is to be shut down for a longer
period of time:
¾
Park the machine indoors and secure with
wheel chocks against rolling away.
¾
Loosen the parking brake to prevent the brake
pads from sticking.
¾
Completely empty and clean the seed hopper
and the metering chambers.
¾
Unplug the terminal and store it in a dry place.
¾
Do not rest the machine on the trap rollers.
¾
Spray the piston rods with corrosion protection
agent.
¾
Protect the machine against corrosion. For
spray coating use only biodegradable oils,
e.g. rape seed oil.
NOTE
¾
Do not spray plastic parts with lubricants or
rust remover. These parts would become
brittle and break.
