Micro-granulate facility
With the micro-granulate facility additional gran-
ulate, e.g. pesticides or fertiliser, is placed.
Depending on equipment and setting, the gran
-
ulate can be placed with the grains into the seed
furrow, or on the surface.
The system consists of a pressure hopper with
a capacity of approx. 300 l, a metering unit with
metering auger and an electric drive.
The pressure hopper must be absolutely leak
tight during use!
¾
Always check the cover for leak tightness with
the fan running, after it had been opened.
¾
If necessary, readjust the hinges or replace
the gasket.
NOTE
Pressure hopper cover, hoses and connections
must be leak tight. Air losses reduce the placing
quantity!

Adjustment and operation
Depending on the granulate quantity, the me
-
tering unit can be fitted with different augers.
The actual displacement depends on various
factors and can therefore only be determined
by calibration.
NOTE
¾
For the selection of the metering augers and
calibration, refer also to the section
Appendix.
¾
Make sure that always metering augers of the
same size are installed!
Changing the
metering augers
¾
If the hopper is full, loosen the gate valve by
the wing nut and reinsert it into the slot the
other way around.
¾
Loosen the two wing nuts on the metering unit
and pull out the lid with the metering auger.
¾
Pull the spring pin out of the shaft.
¾
Replace the auger. Pay attention to the condi-
tion and correct fit of the O-ring on the screw
to be used.
¾
Insert the spring pin.
¾
Reinsert the parts into the metering unit.
¾
Turn the screw further until the hexagon can
be inserted into the drive from the top.
¾
Retighten the wing nuts.
