¾
Lift the machine.
¾
Remove the lock from the adjustment bolt
(1), insert the bolt at the desired position (see
scale) and secure it again.
¾
Set the drilling depth identically on all drill
units.
NOTE
¾
Check the seed placement whenever chang-
ing the depth setting.
¾
If the seed placement is adjusted deeper, you
must check the coulter pressure. If necessary,
you must increase the coulter pressure in
order to assure the drilling depth.
The depth guide rollers must be sufficiently
pressed against the ground and the wheels
must always be able to turn.
However, the pressure should not be higher
than necessary.
¾
If increased wear occurs on the drill units
behind the tractor tracks, a greater drilling
depth may need to be set on these drill units.
Regularly check wear and drilling depth on
the drill units behind the tractor tracks.
Trap rollers
Once the grain exits the downpipe, it is imme-
diately picked up by the trap roller and pushed
gently into the ground.
The grain can now no longer jump out of posi-
tion.
Damage to the trap roller should therefore al-
ways be avoided.

3 Scale
When new, the trap roller runs with the lowest
setting (approx. 5 mm lower than the coulter
discs). As the coulter discs wear off, this distance
diminishes and needs to be re-adjusted.
¾
When the coulter discs are worn, move the
trap rollers to the corresponding position,
depending on the diameter of the coulter
discs, see section
Coulter disc – Coulter system 15".
