Fan speeds
The required fan speed depends on the fertiliser
quantity.
Travel speed, weight and shape of fertiliser in
form of granules or powder and other factors
also have an influence on the required air
quantity.
The table values therefore only serve as guide
values. The rotational speed actually required
may differ from the specification.
Machine
Fan speed in rpm
8 CV
4 200 - 4 500
9 CV
4 200 - 4 500
12 CV
4 200 - 4 500
Reference values of fan speeds at 10 km/h
NOTE
The optimal rotational speed must be deter-
mined by field tests or during a test placement.
The guide values must only be fallen short of
if the correct distribution at a lower speed was
determined during measurement of the trans-
verse distribution.
Fan speed too low
If the fan speed is too low
•
fertiliser may remain in the hoses and cause
blockage.
•
the distribution can be negatively influenced.
¾
Increase the fan speed.
Make sure that no seeds are placed outside
the furrow.
¾
Reduce the travel speed, because the maxi-
mum fertiliser quantity may be reached.
NOTE
¾
The rotary speed settings must be checked
once again with the oil warmed up.
Maximum
fertiliser quantities
Machine
Fertiliser in kg/ha
8/9/12 CV
< 210
Maximum fertiliser quantities at 10 km/h
Depending on the type of fertiliser, the max.
possible quantity may even be less.
