FINAL REDUCTION

LEFT CRANKCASE
Be careful not to
damage the final
reduction case
mating surface.
Remove the driveshaft bearing if it remains in the
crankcase.
Remove the countershaft and final gear shaft bear-
ings using the special tools.
Apply engine oil to the bearing cavity.
Drive new bearings into the left crankcase with the
marked side facing the attachment until it is fully
seated, using the special tools.
FINAL REDUCTION CASE
Remove the side collar, final gear shaft dust seal
and oil seal from the final reduction case.
