FINAL REDUCTION

Check the final gear shaft and driveshaft ball bear-
ings in the left crankcase.
Turn the inner race of each bearing with your finger.
The bearing should turn smoothly and quietly.
Check the counter shaft needle bearing in the left
crankcase for wear or damage.
Also check that the bearing outer race fits tightly in
the crankcase.
Check the oil seal for wear, damage or deterioration.
Check the final gear shaft and driveshaft ball bear-
ings in the final reduction case.
Turn the inner race of each bearing with your finger.
The bearing should turn smoothly and quietly.
Check the countershaft needle bearing in the final
reduction case for wear or damage.
Also check that the bearing outer race fits tightly in
the final reduction case.
Use three 10 mm nuts to the case puller.
Remove the driveshaft using the case puller.
Remove the oil seal from the crankcase.
