FUEL SYSTEM (PGM-FI)

Turn the ignition switch ON and engine stop switch
" " and measure the voltage between the fuel
pump unit 5P (Natural) connector terminals.
There should be battery voltage for a few seconds.
If there is battery voltage, replace the fuel pump
unit.
If there is no battery voltage, inspect the following:
– Open circuit in Brown wire and/or Green wire
– FUEL PUMP fuse (10 A)
– ECU, IGN fuse (10 A)
– MAIN B fuse (15 A)
– Fuel pump relay (page 6-79)
– Handle lock module (page 23-19)
– Bank angle sensor (page 6-92)
– NSS250S: ECM (page 6-95)
– NSS250A: PCM (page 6-99)
REMOVAL
Disconnect the quick connect fitting from the fuel
pump unit (page 6-71).
Remove the following:
– Nuts
– Set plate
– Fuel pump unit
– Packing
INSPECTION
Clean the fuel strainer screen.
Check the fuel pump and fuel strainer screen for
damage.
Replace the fuel pump unit if it necessary.
CONNECTION: Brown (+) – Green (–)

Be careful not to
damage the fuel
level sensor.
