FUEL SYSTEM
Damage to the air screw seat will occur if the pilot screw is
tighten against the seat.
INITIAL OPENING: 1 7/8 turns out
2. Warm up the engine to operating temperature.
Stop and go riding for 10 minutes is sufficient.
3. Stop the engine and connect the tachometer,
according to the manufacturer’s instructions
4. Start the engine and adjust the idle speed with the
throttle stop screw.

5. Turn the air screw in or out slowly to obtain the highest
engine speed.
6. Lightly open the throttle 2 or 3 times, then adjust the
idle speed with the throttle stop screw.
7. Turn the air screw in until the engine speed drops by
50 min
–1
(rpm).
FINAL OPENING: 4 turns out
8. Readjust the idle speed with the throttle stop screw.
FUEL TANK
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
Gasoline is extremely flammable and is explosive
under certain condition. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF
CHILDREN.
Remove the body cover (page 2-4).
Remove the luggage box (page 2-3).
Disconnect the fuel level sensor 2P connector.
Disconnect the fuel and vacuum tubes from the fuel valve.
Remove the wire bands.
Remove the bolts (4 nos.), seat lock bracket and fuel tank
from the frame
For fuel level sensor removal/installation and inspection,
refer to section 18.
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE:
• After installation, check that there are no fuel leaks.
• Route the cable, wire and tubes properly (page 1-16).
