Install the kickstarter pedal in its original position as
marked during removal and tighten the bolt (1 no.).
TORQUE: 29 N·m (3.0 kgf·m,22 lbf·ft)
Install the thrust washer onto the crankcase cover.
Apply grease (0.2 – 0.3 g) to the driven gear shaft and
friction spring sliding area.
Turn the kickstarter pedal and hold it.
Install the driven gear while aligning the friction spring
hook with the groove in the crankcase cover, and return
the pedal to engage the driven gear and spindle gear.
Install the left crankcase cover plate and tighten the
screws (5 nos.).
TORQUE: 3 N·m (0.3 kgf·m, 2.2 lbf·ft)
Bend the lock tabs of the cover plate against the screw
heads.
