Possible cause
4. Test cylinder compression
Normal compression
• Valve clearance too small
• Improper valve and seat contact
• Worn cylinder, piston and piston rings
• Valve stuck open
• Improper valve timing
• Leaking cylinder head gasket
• Loose spark plug Low compression
Reaching carburetor
Not reaching
carburetor 1. Check the fuel flow to carburetor
2. Remove and inspect spark plug
Dry plug
• Throttle valve excessively open
• Rich fuel mixture (section 5) Wet plug
