CRANKCASE/CRANKSHAFT

CRANKCASE/CRANKSHAFT
DISASSEMBLY

Remove the parts required for crankcase separation
(page 12-1).

Remove the center stand return spring.

Remove the cotter pin, washer, center stand pivot bolt
and center stand.

Remove bolts (2 nos.) and oil seal stopper plate from the
left crankcase.

Remove the cam chain tensioner pivot bolt and cam chain
tensioner.

Remove the crankcase bolts (8 nos.).
Place the crankcase with the left crankcase down and
remove the right crankcase from the left crankcase.

Separate the right crankcase while tapping it at several
locations with a soft hammer.

Be careful not to damage the crankcase mating surface.
